Christmas Eve is always filled with anticipation, brightly colored wrappings and lots of wonderful aromas wafting from the kitchen. There are children all across the world eagerly awaiting the sound of hooves on the rooftops and Santa's big jolly laugh coming down the chimney. This past Christmas Eve was a little different though as Santa had a new sleigh.
James Limousine and the Richmond SPCA partnered together this year to make sure Santa Paws arrived in style. That's right, I said Santa Paws. He arrives once a year delivering homeless kitties and puppies to loving little boys and girls. The Richmond SPCA has been a no kill shelter for ten years and has saved the lives of over 27,000 homeless cats and dogs. Local area businesses, community support groups and especially the people that choose to adopt a pet versus purchasing from a breeder have given a second chance to these deserving animals. For the second year, Richmond SPCA has given prospective adopted parents the opportunity to allow their newest family member to reside at the shelter a little longer for a small fee and have Santa Paws hand deliver the animal on Christmas Eve. This year, Santa had four families anxiously awaiting his arrival.
