We meet or exceed all Federal Department of Transportation and Virginia Department of Motor Vehicle regulations and guidelines, and are fully licensed, bonded, and insured.
To ensure the ultimate standards of safety, we conduct pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing per DOT regulations for all chauffeurs. We conduct employee background checks with the Virginia State Police, and check DMV records with a 4+ minimum driving record required. We also subscribe to DMV monitoring system for on-going alerts of any driving violations on or off the job.
Our new hire program is intense, with classroom and on the road training in safety and defensive driving techniques.
To make sure our vehicles are safe and secure, a full-time fleet manager ensures that all vehicles receive routine maintenance service at intervals recommended by the manufacturer. We also carry $5 million of primary and excess liability coverage on all vehicles through the Lancer Insurance Company, more than is required by law.
