Madhaunter’s Madhouse
Head over to Cox Farms in Centreville and enjoy the state’s most frightening haunted attraction. The Madhaunter’s Madhouse is an outdoor and indoor maze that will have you jumping out of your skin at every corner you take; the maze is complete with custom special effects and costumed characters. Note, however, this experience is only recommended for persons over the age of 13. Head over to the Madhouse between now and the 3rd of November and experience the madness for yourself.
Halloween Movie Night
This event is scheduled for the 26th of October at the Haley Toyota Field Sports Complex in Salem. Tag your family and friends along, dress up in your spookiest costumes, and bring a couple of blankest for a double-feature movie night that is absolutely free. This year’s movie night will begin with the movie ‘Hocus Pocus’ and end with ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’. This is a family friendly event, so don’t be afraid to tag the little ones along.
Halloween Parade
This is the 72nd installment of its kind; the parade is set to kick off on the 25th of October from 6pm at the parking lot of the United Bank in Fairfax. There are various competitions in which winners are recognized publicly at the town’s council meeting in November. Competition categories include youth bands, adult band, float with music, youth performer, adult performer, and a classic vehicle competition. Tag the gang along and head over to Fairfax and be part of close-to-a-century worth of history and tradition. Note that all children must be accompanied by an adult at this event.
Martin’s Halloween Weekend Street Party
This is a two-night event set to go down between the 26th and 27th of October at Martin’s Downtown Bar and Grill in Roanoke. This Halloween party is considered to be so intense that one night just isn’t enough to handle all the madness. Here you will get to enjoy live musical performances from nine different bands on two separate stages with the main performances being by the Pietasters and a Michael Jackson Tribute band.
